Make a Difference Project

Individually or with a team of up to 4 students:
  1. Identify a problem or issue in your community, your school, or the world and research some information about it. Find multiple sub topics that can be researched for your topic.
  2. Research the problem and pick a sub topic. Each person will have their own topic. For example if you pick homelessness, then some of the sub topics could be: What is homelessness, who is affected, where do homelessness people go, what causes homelessness.
  3. Complete the Service Project form and get your group topic and each persons sub topic approved.
  4. Come up with at least three things you can do to help or possible solutions.
  5. Create a storyboard to organize your ideas, what you have learned and researched.
  6. Create a powerpoint to present your information, with correct citation of pictures, graphics and information.
  7. Use at least one direct quote , and a paraphrase with in paragraph citation.
  8. Use works cited page, using MLA format

Exceeds credit:
  • Create a 1 or 2 minute commercial using video or Photostory3(uses pictures) that explains your project and solution. Show your video as part of your group presentation.
